The use of non-wood pulps is becoming more common in the manufacture of high-quality tissue products. There are several reasons for this including better availability of raw materials, lower costs and improved sustainability. Within the tissue industry, non-wood pulps considered include bamboo and wheat straw-based pulps, which if used correctly, can result in high-quality tissue products.
