We are excited to be attending the Infection Prevention Society's annual conference and exhibition in Liverpool on 27-29 September. The last 18 months have shown us all that infection prevention has never been more important. Whether it's in hospitals, care homes, where we work, the places we visit, or at home, infection prevention protects lives and helps to keep us all safe. The IPS Conference is the leading event in the UK that brings people together to discuss the latest developments in the field.
This isn't the first time we have been to this internationally renowned conference. We have been regularly participants since the first time it was held in 2007. In fact, infection prevention is part of our heritage. We have offered cleaning products throughout our near 100-year history. We have worked alongside infection prevention professionals in healthcare for over 50 years, almost since the start of the NHS.
Today, as a global leader we combine this experience with the expertise of our UK and international team to offer a total-solutions ?360? approach. We continue to invest in innovations that combine with our proven traditional products to create an unrivalled range that covers all aspects of infection prevention and facility hygiene. Our aim is to provide healthcare professionals with total flexibility to implement ? with our help and support - the right products and combinations for their unique and specific requirements.
We are showcasing three of our latest and most exciting infection prevention innovations at this year's IPS conference:
IntelliCare: an integrated hand disinfection system designed to maximise product availability and make it easy for users to disinfect their hands whenever required. The system includes an advanced contactless dispenser and complete range of interchangeable hand disinfectants, soaps, gels, and foams meeting all major infection prevention standards. The dispenser operates contact-free to reduce the risk of cross-contamination between users but switches automatically to manual operation if its batteries become discharged. Its dual-dosing capability allows operators to select the amount to dispense depending on application and user.
Moonbeam3 Disinfection Technology: an advanced UV-C light system for rapid disinfection of large areas and hard to reach places. This innovative device is already used by numerous UK hospitals in their daily routines. The portable unit is positioned in a room and turned on for a just a few seconds to kill pathogens on surrounding surfaces. There is almost no setup time and the room can be used immediately after disinfection is finished. Recent independent tests proved MoonBeam3 Disinfection Technology was effective against SARS-CoV-2 under a range of conditions, with contact times as low as four seconds delivering a 6-log reduction (99.9999% or million-fold) reduction in the number of virus particles.
Oxivir: a complete range of cleaner-disinfectants, disinfectants and wipes containing patented AHP ? Accelerated Hydrogen Peroxide. Oxivir products have proven broad-spectrum performance against viruses, spores, yeasts, and fungi. including C. diff, MRSA, Norovirus, E. coli, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Products in the range kill viruses in just 30 seconds in dirty conditions. Their efficacy has been tested to the latest EN standards, including EN14476 which covers enveloped viruses like the one that causes Covid-19. Oxivir products can be used safely on a wide range of surfaces without many of the drawbacks of traditional disinfectants. The active ingredient degrades to water and oxygen shortly after use, enhancing the sustainability of the product.
We?ll be writing more about these innovations in the weeks leading up to the IPS Conference at the end of September. If you want to join us in Liverpool, contact us direct or visit the IPS site to find out more.
